Installing the zumo Radar App

The zūmo™ Radar App is a free smartphone application that allows you to connect the zūmo™ R1 Radar Motorcycle Radar and a compatible smartphone. This allows the radar to be displayed on the screen of the connected smartphone.

Contact your mobile service provider for more information about your service plan’s data and roaming rates.

To Install the zūmo Radar App on an iPhone:

  1. Touch the App Store icon on the phone 

  2. Touch Search  at the bottom

  3. Touch the Search bar at the top

  4. Type zumo Radar 

  5. Select zūmo Radar in the search results

  6. Touch Get

To Install the zumo Radar App on an Android Phone:

  1. Touch the Play Store iconon the compatible phone

  2. Touch Search Google Play at the top

  3. Type zumo Radar

  4. Select zūmo Radar from the search results

  5. Touch Install

After the download completes, the App is ready to open and be paired with your zūmo R1 Radar. Instructions to pair the device with your smartphone can be found below.

To Pair the zūmo Radar App with the zūmo R1 Radar:

iPhone

  1. Open the zūmo Radar app on your phone and set your phone to Find Me/Discoverable mode
    • Refer to the owner's manual for your phone if you are not sure how to set it to Find Me/Discoverable mode
  2. Press the device button to turn on the zūmo R1 Radar
    • The device button is located on the left indicator
  3. Touch Allow on the zūmo Radar app to allow Bluetooth
  4. Review and agree to the Privacy Policy and License Agreement before touching Next
  5. Touch Agree
  6. Hold the device button for 5 seconds until the status LED flashes blue to enter pairing mode
    • If you hold the device button for 8 seconds or longer, the radar enters demo mode. If this mode is enabled, the zūmo R1 Radar will not pair until it is disabled. To disable, hold the device button again for 8 seconds until the LED changes to orange, then release
  7. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the pairing process

They will now connect automatically when on and within range.

Android

  1. Open the zūmo Radar app on your phone and set your phone to Find Me/Discoverable mode

  2. Press the device button to turn on the zūmo R1 Radar
    • The device button is located on the left indicator
