Which targets are filtered in?

TCPA (time to the closest point of approach): <30 minutes

CPA (closest point of approach): <2 NM

Range: <48NM

SOG (speed over ground): > 1knots

Targets with all of these parameters will appear at their normal size. All other targets will seem tiny.

Can I change the filter parameters?

The default values already help with decluttering on the screen. However, from the Wheel Menu on a WatchMate® Vision, fine-tune values to personal preference. There is no way to control filters from the apps, though, which means that it doesn't control it for an XB-8000.
