Sending a MapShare Link From an inReach SE(+)/Explorer(+)
The MapShare™ page link can be sent to friends and family directly from an inReach® device after tracking has been started so that they may follow your progress, or send you messages depending on your MapShare settings. If you have set a password for your MapShare page, the password is included automatically when you use the share feature from the website, the device or the mobile app.
NOTE: Before attempting to send your MapShare link, MapShare should be enabled and configured in your inReach account. For assistance, see - Setting Up MapShare for an inReach SE®, inReach SE+, inReach Explorer®, or inReach Explorer+.
Sending a MapShare Link From an inReach SE(+)/Explorer(+)
From the home screen, select Tracking.
Select Start or Start Tracking.
Select Share.
Select the To field to type in your recipient(s), or use
or 
to choose from your saved contacts.Select the Message field to customize your message.
A default message of I'm starting my trip. Follow along at my MapShare site! will be pre-filled. You can edit or add to this message, if desired.
Select Send or Send Message.
