How to Search, Save, Edit, or Delete Locations on an Automotive Device

 1. Touch Where To?

2. Touch  to change the city/state or location if necessary

3. Touch Address

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the address information.

The address should appear in the list of search results. Select the desired destination from this list and touch Go.

2. Touch Categories

3. Select the POI category (food, fuel, lodging, etc.) best matching your desired destination

4. Select a subcategory if necessary

5. Select the destination from the listed nearby POIs

6. Touch Go to calculate a route

It is possible to save a destination so it can be easily accessed in the future. The destination will then be accessible from Favorites or Saved in the Where To? menu on the device.

1. Search for an address, POI, etc., using the options available in the Where To? menu

2. Select a location from the search results

3. Touch the  info button

• Skip this step on some devices

4. Touch Save.

• If a Save button does not appear, the location has already been saved.

5. Enter a name for the location if prompted or touch Done

6. Touch OK when notified the address has been added to Saved Places

Repeat steps to save additional destinations.

2. Touch Favorites or Saved

3. Touch the location you would like to edit

4. Touch the  info button

5. Touch the  menu button

6. Touch Edit

7. Touch the information you would like to change

NOTE: Categories will be replaced with Collections when connected to the Garmin Drive™ App and Garmin Explore™ is enabled for the zūmo® XT GPS navigator. To switch back to Categories, a restore can be performed which will set the zūmo XT back to default settings.  For steps on restoring the settings to default see Restore Settings.

• You may change the name, phone number, categories, and map symbol assigned to the location

Touch and hold the back arrow to return to the main menu.

1. Touch Where To?

2. Touch Favorites or Saved

3. Touch the location you would like to edit

4. Touch the  info button

5. Touch the  menu button

6. Touch Edit

7. Touch Categories

8. Enter one or more category names, separated by commas.

9. Select done.

NOTE: Categories appear in the saved locations menu after you have saved at least 12 locations.

1. Touch Where To?

2. Touch Favorites or Saved

3. Locate and touch the favorite you would like to delete

• Some devices require you to touch the Info button (lower-case i) after this step.

4. Touch the menu button (three lines) in the upper-left of the screen

5. Touch Delete

6. Touch Yes

The selected saved location(s) will now be deleted.

To Delete Multiple Saved Locations:

1. Touch Where To?

2. Touch Favorites or Saved

3. Touch the menu button (three lines) in the upper left corner

4. Touch Delete, Delete Favorites or Delete Saved Places

5. Touch the location(s) you would like to delete

• Touch Select All if you would like to delete all saved favorites.

6. Touch Delete once the desired locations are selected

7. Touch Yes

The selected saved location(s) will now be deleted.
