Updating the Software of the Garmin GFS 10 Fuel Sensor
There are two methods for updating the GFS 10.
The first option is to connect the GFS 10 to a Garmin Marine Chartplotter/Sounder via a NMEA 2000 network. When the two devices are connected, performing a software update on the display unit will also update the operating system installed on the GFS 10. For instructions on how to create an update card and install the update on the GFS 10, please review the Related Content.
The second option, used when a chartplotter/sounder is not available, is a NMEA 2000 Network Updater that can be installed directly to a NMEA 2000 network. The update SD card can be inserted into the network updater and the update will be sent to the GFS 10 over the NMEA 2000 network.
