Error Message When Adding Emergency Contacts in the Garmin Connect App

If you receive a “Country Code Required” or “Edit Contact Info” error when attempting to add a contact to Incident Detection, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Garmin Connect™ app.

  2. Select More (bottom right).

  3. Select Contacts.

  4. Select the contact that was causing the error message.

  5. Select the three dots in the top right (Android only).

  6. Select Edit.

  7. Select the phone number and add "+1" where "1" is the country code, followed by the full phone number.
