Searching for POIs near a Different Location on an Automotive Device

Automotive devices can search for Points of Interest (POIs) away from the device's current location, For example: at a destination miles away.

To Search for POIs Near a Different Location on an Automotive Device:

1. Touch Where To? or Search

   • Touch Apps then Apps again first on some devices

2. Touch Near, Near Me,   Searching Near, Nearby, or  at the top

   • Some devices may require you to touch the menu button (three horizontal lines) before touching Near on this step.

   • On some devices, touch Select a Location to see search options.

3. Select the desired option (some options are not available on all devices)

   • Where I Am Now searches near your current location (this is the default setting)

   • A Different City / A Different Town / Near a City searches near a city you enter

   • Home searches near the Home location set on the device

   • Recent Destination searches near a selected location listed in your recent destinations

   • Favorite/Favorite Destination/Saved Place/Waypoints searches near a location you've saved

   • Address searches near an address entered on the device

   • Intersections searches near an intersection entered on the device

   • Coordinates searches a set of coordinates entered on the device

   • My Active/Current Route/ Near My Route searches along the calculated route

     • This option is only available when navigating on an active route

   • A Time Ahead searches along the calculated route at a selected time ahead

     • Route must be over 15 minutes

     • Time ahead can be selected at 15 minute intervals

   • My Destination / Near Destination searches along the calculated route, but results start near the destination and work backward along the route

     • This option is only available when navigating on an active route

   • Upcoming Exits searches near upcoming exits on an active route

   • Browse Map searches near a location selected on the map page of the device

   • Select a Location searches near a home address, recent address, intersection, location browsed on the map, a specific address entered, a saved address, or coordinate

To begin searching near your current location once again, simply return to the main menu to restore the default.
