Difficulty Disconnecting the VIRB 360 Powered Mount Accessory Cable

The VIRB® 360 is compatible with several powered mount accessories¹, which allow the device to receive power while in various mounts. This cable comes in two pieces, which can be screwed together in the middle. This connection is circled in the image below:

Some of these connections, once twisted together, can be difficult to disconnect by hand at first. In this case, a pair of pliers can be used to loosen the connection so that it can be removed more easily by hand, as shown below:

The cable should only need to be disconnected in this fashion 2-3 times, after which the cable should be easily removable by hand.
