microSD Card Recording Modes, Video Resolutions, and File Sizes on the Garmin Dash Cam
Video Resolution and Frame Rate:
Video resolution is a measurement of the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. The more pixels of information, the more clearly the recorded video will display.
Frame rate is expressed as “frames per second” or FPS. This identifies how many frames are in one second of video.
These can be changed in Settings > Camera >Resolution on the dash cam.
The device will record non-stop when powered on. When the microSD card is full, the non-protected videos will be overwritten. Saved videos will not be overwritten.
The maximum amount of video that can be recorded or saved/stored on a microSD card depends on the Dash Cam's video resolution setting and the size of the card.
