Update the Maps on a Peterbilt/Kenworth PACCAR Navigation System

*Update 2/25/2020* Map Updates are unavailable.  

In order to update the maps on a Peterbilt/Kenworth PACCAR navigation system, a computer with a high-speed internet connection is required.

Note: Internet Explorer on a Windows computer is currently the only browser supported for the update process. 

To update the maps, device information needs to be exported to an 8GB USB flash drive.

To export device information:

1. Plug the USB flash drive into the navigation system's USB port
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch System
4. Touch About
5. Touch Upgrade Map

Device information will now be loaded to the USB flash drive. The flash drive can now be inserted into your computer to begin the map update process.

To update maps:

1. Go to www.garmin.com/paccar
2. Click Scan USB
3. Sign in to your account, or create a new account
4. Select the device you would like to update
5. Click Update
6. Add the map update to your cart and complete the purchase
7. Click Assign
   • This will associate the purchase of your navigation system. You will be directed to a web page to confirm the location of your USB flash drive.
8. Click Continue
9. Click Continue again to acknowledge the License Agreement and begin the download

When the download is complete, you will need to install the map update to your navigation system.

To install the map update:

1. Plug the USB flash drive into the navigation system's USB port
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch System
4. Touch About
5. Touch Upgrade Map
6. Allow the installation to complete

The maps will now be updated.

To verify the update was successful:

1. Touch Settings
2. Touch Maps
3. Touch Info

The navigation system should display the new map version.
