Receiving an Email Titled Garmin Confirmation of Garmin Exchange
If you set up an RMA (Return Material Authorization) you will receive an auto-generated email which contains the RMA number assigned to your repair or exchange and your shipping address given at the time the RMA was set up.
- The Garmin device will be listed in most cases with Sub-Assy as part of the description. This is only a descriptive term and does not indicate that anything other than the Garmin device itself needs to be sent in to Garmin. Normally no accessories are to be sent in (unless specified by the representative who helped set up your RMA) and we ask that you remove any memory cards that may have been inserted into the device.
- The email also contains return instructions and the address to return the device to Garmin.
- Please return the Garmin product in its original, unused condition. Garmin’s Limited Warranty does not apply to third-party accessories not included in the original packaging from Garmin. DO NOT return third-party accessories (such as watchbands, mounts, memory cards etc.) as Garmin cannot ensure they will be returned to you.
- Additionally, use the attached return to sender shipping label if available, or use a carrier that will provide a tracking number, so you will have proof of delivery. You may want to also insure the package.
