inReach Messenger Plus Menu Options
The home page and main menu on the inReach® Messenger Plus satellite communicator contain information that can be used to operate your device. From the home page, you can press 
or 
to scroll through the main menu options, and you can press OK to access more settings and information for each option.
The information below explains what settings and options are available for the home page and each of the main menu options.
Home Page
This page will display ACTIVATION 
if you skipped activation during the initial setup.
Once activated, this page displays the date, time, and status icons. It also displays tracking and weather information when those features are in use.
Press OK to open the home page actions:
Check-In
Allows you to send a check-in message. For more details, see - Sending and Checking Messages on the inReach Messenger Plus.
Start/Stop Tracking
Allows you to transmit track points over the Iridium® satellite network so others can follow along while the tracking is in progress. For more details, see - Getting Started With Tracking on the inReach Messenger Series.
Message Check
Allows you to manually check for new messages. For more details, see - Checking for Messages.
View Coordinates
Allows you to view your GPS coordinates.
Back
Allows you to return to the home page.
Messages
Press OK to view your message history, send a new message, or reply to a message. For more details, see - Writing a Message on the inReach Messenger Plus.
Tracking
Press OK to start and stop tracking or view the progress of ongoing tracking. For more details, see- Getting Started With Tracking on the inReach Messenger Series.
Check-In
Press OK to choose and send one of the following Check-In messages:
I'm checking in. Everything is okay.
I'm starting my trip.
I'm ending my trip.
Check-in contacts can be edited in the Garmin Messenger app. For steps, see - Editing Check-In Contacts in the Garmin Messenger App.
Weather
Press OK to view the last weather forecast or request an updated weather forecast. For more details, see - Requesting Weather Forecasts With an inReach Messenger Plus.
TracBack
Press OK to start using TracBack. This feature can be used to retrace your steps even if tracking was not started at the beginning of a trip. For more details, see - Using TracBack on the inReach Messenger Plus.
Message Check
Press OK to display when the last mail check was done and force a check for messages. For more details, see - How Often Does the inReach Messenger Plus Check For Messages?.
Test Service
Press OK to test for active service by sending a test message. When you receive a confirmation message on the device, your device is ready to use.
Service Plan
Press OK to view data use.
Settings
Press OK to access additional settings to customize the device. Select "Complete List of Settings Options" below to see all of the settings options and their sub-menus. For more details on what each of these settings and options are used for, refer to your owner's manual.
