How Do I Reinstall the Basemap for My Garmin Wearable or Edge Device?

Garmin Express™ software has the ability to reinstall the basemap on your Garmin® watch or Edge® cycling computer if it has been mistakenly removed or deleted from your device. This process will reinstall the basemap if your device detects that it's missing:

  1. Connect your device to your computer using the Garmin branded cable. 

  2. Open Garmin Express. 

  3. After syncing, select Map Details

  4. Click Map Options.

  5. Click Reinstall Map.

    • Located under Cycle Map for Edge cycling computers.

    • Located under TopoActive for wearables.
