1. Open the Garmin Drive app
- You may need to first enable your phone's bluetooth
- Refer to the owner's manual for your phone if you are not sure how to enable bluetooth
2. On the Garmin device touch Settings 
from the Where to / View map page
3. Touch Wireless Networks.
4. Check the box next to Bluetooth if it is unchecked
5. Touch Navigation Device in the Garmin Drive app
6. Touch Find Garmin Device
7. Touch the name of the Garmin device from the list of compatible Bluetooth devices in the area
8. If prompted, verify code on the Garmin device and touch Pair
9. Touch Yes on the Garmin device after verifying the code on the phone
10. Enter the code from the Garmin device and touch Pair on the phone, if prompted
11. On the Garmin device touch OK after entering the code on the phone.
12. You will now be paired to the Drive app. Follow the remaining prompts to allow necessary permissions, personal data policy, and sign into your Garmin account.
The Garmin Drive app will automatically communicate with the device when the device and phone are powered on and in range of each other.
