Creating Training Plans in Garmin Connect
The Garmin Connect™ platform offers a variety of plans to help you reach your fitness goals. Each plan will provide a series of workouts that build upon each other to prepare you for your event. Plan types include:
Plans feature workouts and expert advice from the world's top coaches. Plans can be added to your Garmin Connect calendar and you can send the workouts to your compatible Garmin device and use it as your virtual coach.
Self-guided running plans can include some non-run workouts like cross-training or bike workouts, but only run workouts from the plan will be sent to devices. Non-run workouts in the self-guided plan will only be displayed as a note in the web version of the Garmin Connect Calendar. These notes will explain what to do for the workout, but will not be recorded like a structured workout.
Triathlon plans are self-guided plans that will send running and bike workouts to compatible devices, but swim workouts will only be displayed as a note in the Calendar in Garmin Connect. These notes will explain what to do for the workout, but will not be recorded like a structured workout.
NOTE: All Garmin Coach plans except the Self-Guided plans can also be accessed from the Garmin Connect app.

Will My Garmin Coach Plan Sync Over When I Add a New or Replacement Watch to Garmin Connect?
As long as the new or replacement watch is compatible with your current Garmin Coach Plan, the workouts should transfer over after a successful sync. If you are not seeing them transfer to your new or replacement watch, confirm you have set the new or replacement watch as your Primary Wearable Device.
