Transferring Device Registration From a Previous Owner

In most circumstances, a device can change from one owner to another without the need to take any action on your account¹.  If the original owner would like to remove the device from their account they can do so by:

  1. Visit https://www.garmin.com/account
  2. Enter your sign-in information and click SIGN IN
  3. Click PROFILE
  4. Click Products
  5. Select Remove next to the device

Note: If you have had the device for some time, it is possible that you may have already registered the device using a different myGarmin account. You can request an e-mail to be sent if you have forgotten your username or password.
