Auto Power Up Isn't Working on Garmin Marine Chartplotter
If multiple chartplotters are networked, when one device powers on, the rest should also turn on. If some of the devices are not powering up on the network, check the following.
Chartplotters with this feature
GPSMAP® 7x2 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 9x2 chartplotters
GPSMAP® 10x2 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 12x2 chartplotters
GPSMAP® 7x3 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 9x3 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 12x3 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 16x3 chartplotters
GPSMAP® 74xx chartplotters | GPSMAP® 76xx chartplotters
GPSMAP® 84xx chartplotters | GPSMAP® 86xx chartplotters
GPSMAP® 90xx chartplotters | GPSMAP® 92xx chartplotters
Double-check that the device that is 'not powering on' is not just asleep by tapping the power button once
If the device is going to sleep and it should power up with the other chartplotter(s), ensure that the devices are set up as the same station
Ensure all devices are connected via Garmin® Marine Network Cable; go to Options > Settings > Communications > Marine Network
If the chartplotters connect via GCV™ 10 black box sonar or GCV™ 20 black box sonar, the sonar box will not operate as a network switch. If that feature is needed, install a GMS™ 10 network port expander on the vessel
For directions on station setup, refer to the Owner's Manual.
NOTE: Auto Power Up will still power on networked units even if the feature is disabled.
