How Do I Manage My Personal Records in Garmin Connect?
Personal records provide a convenient way to track your fitness milestones. The Garmin Connect™ platform measures your records for steps, running, cycling and a few other activity types. You can choose if you want to share your personal records with others in your privacy settings. For details on how to customize your privacy settings see, Adjusting Privacy Settings in Garmin Connect.
Receiving a Personal Record
Each time that you upload data from your Garmin device or create an activity that surpasses one of your previous personal records, that achievement will be noted in your Garmin Connect account.
If a new personal record is detected, you will be presented with an option to accept or reject the activity as a PR. You can also edit, select, or delete personal records in your Garmin Connect account. For steps on how to do this, see below.
NOTE: If you have not accepted a PR in Garmin Connect or if the particular PR is hidden, your device will continue to notify you of new PRs until one is accepted. To resolve this, you would need to make the PR visible and either accept or reject the automatically detected PR activity. If you know of a PR activity, you can also assign it manually. Once you have accepted or assigned the PR, that information syncs to your device so it can accurately notify you when a new PR has been achieved.
Receiving a Personal Record From a New Garmin Watch:
If you add a new watch to an existing Garmin Connect account, it is possible for you to receive Personal Records on the new watch that do not align with the personal records listed in your Garmin Connect account. If this occurs, you will need to manually assign the PR's in your Garmin Connect account in order to update your records.

How to View My Personal Records
You can view Personal Records using the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Connect website. Choose your preferred platform below to reveal instructions.
From here you can view your personal records, as well as Accept or Decline any new PRs listed.
NOTE: If a particular PR category is not listed, select Edit to add it.
Garmin Connect Web
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Personal Records from the navigation bar on the left.
From here you can view your personal records, as well as Accept/Confirm, Keep or Decline any new PRs listed.
NOTE: If a PR category is not listed, select the Customize List drop-down menu and select the desired PRs.
Manually Assign a PR from a Recorded Activity
To manually assign activities as PRs, you must use Garmin Connect web. When an activity is manually assigned as a PR, the entire activity time will be associated with the PR. If you need to edit the time, see the "Edit a PR" instructions in the next section.
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Activities from the navigation bar on the left.
Select All Activities.
Select the desired activity.
Select (More) in the top right.
For multi-sport activities, select the leg of the activity before selecting the More icon.
Select Set as PR.2
Select the desired PR from the drop-down menu.
Select Assign PR.
Edit a PR
To edit your Running, Cycling, and Pool Swimming PRs you must use Garmin Connect web. Personal records for Steps cannot be edited. Personal records for Strength cannot be edited from the Personal Record page. You will need to edit the individual Strength activity. For details see, How Do I Edit an Activity in Garmin Connect?
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Personal Records from the navigation bar on the left.
Select the activity type (example: Running).
Select the time or distance you wish to edit from the Record column.
Enter the updated time or distance.
Select the green checkmark to save your changes.
Delete a PR
To delete a PR, you must use Garmin Connect web. Personal records for Steps cannot be deleted.
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Personal Records from the navigation bar on the left.
Select the activity type (example: Running).
Select (Remove PR) on the far right of the PR you wish to delete.
Select Remove to confirm.
Customize PR Options
You can customize the PR categories displayed using the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Connect web. Customizing the personal records list will only hide or unhide the PR when viewing the list in Garmin Connect. Choose your preferred platform below to reveal instructions.
