Sending and Checking Messages on the inReach Messenger

Steps for sending and checking for messages on the inReach® Messenger satellite communicator are provided below.

Sending a Text Message

1. From the home page, press  or  to scroll through the main menu options.

2. Select MESSAGES , then select an option:

   • Select New Message, then choose a recipient from your contacts list or select Type Contact to enter one recipient's contact information.

     -OR-

   • Select a conversation, then select Reply.

3. Select an option:

   • Select Select Quick Text, then press  or  to scroll through the pre-written messages. Press OK to select and send a message.

   • Select Type Reply, then press  or  to scroll through the alphabet. Press OK to select letters until the message is complete, then select to send the message.
     

Sending a Check-in Message

1. From the home page, press OK.

2. Select Check-in.

3. Press  or  to scroll through the check-in messages.

4. Press OK to select a check-in message.

5. Press OK to send the message.

Checking for Messages

1. From the home page, press OK.

2. Press  or  to scroll through the home page actions.

3. Select Message Check.

   The device will then display Checking:
