Using a Traffic Receiver Cable with an LMT-S Device

The lifetime traffic included with LMT-S models uses the Garmin Smartphone Link application to receive traffic information. In order to use this service, the device must be paired to an iPhone or Android smart phone running Smartphone Link.  

NOTE: External Traffic receivers are no longer available for purchase through Garmin. See GTM 60 and GTM 36 Cables are Discontinued for more information.

A GTM™ 36 traffic receiver cable can be used with your device if you do not have a compatible smartphone, or do not wish to use Smartphone Link. This accessory will provide access to Garmin Traffic.
