Register or Transfer the Vault Service to a New or Replacement Garmin Dash Cam

To avoid signing up for another subscription and needing to cancel the old subscription, you can transfer an existing subscription to a new or replacement device.

Garmin Dash Cam™ subscriptions can be transferred in the Account Manager.

To Register your New/Replacement Device:

  1. Sign in to your Subscription Portal
  2. Select MANAGE for your original device
  3. Select Transfer your plan to a different compatible device
  4. Select REGISTER
  5. Enter the serial number of the new or replacement device
  6. Select SUBMIT

The replacement device will now be registered.


To Transfer the Subscription to your New/Replacement Device:

  1. Log in to the Subscription Portal
  2. Select MANAGE on the device you want to change
  3. Select Transfer your plan to a different compatible device  on the subscription you want to change
  4. Select the replacement device
    • If you have not already added the new/replacement device to your account, you will need to register it in the Subscription Portal by following the instructions above. 
  5. Select Confirm

The subscription has now been transferred to your replacement device.

NOTE: To fully complete the service transfer, the replacement device will need to be paired with the Garmin Drive™ app or dēzl™ app.
