The Garmin Communicator Plugin (CPI) can be completely uninstalled on a Windows or Mac computer. The steps to uninstall the CPI will depend on how the CPI was installed. If the specific installation method is not known, try all methods for uninstalling the CPI to ensure it is completely uninstalled.

On Windows, uninstalling the CPI can involve making changes to the Windows Registry. The Windows Registry should be backed up before making any changes1. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with making changes to the registry, contact Product Support by phone. The Product Support phone numbers and hours can be found at http://www.garmin.com/support.

To begin, select the method by which the CPI was originally installed:

Manual installation from a downloaded .exe file (Windows)

Manual installation from a downloaded .dmg file (Mac)

Automatic installation through Internet Explorer (Active X)

Automatic installation through Firefox (.xpi)
