The ANT Agent application stores previously sent history data on the computer so that the data can be used by Training Center or be sent to Garmin Connect.

The fitness data is located:

  • Windows XP
    • C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\GARMIN\Devices\Unit ID folder\History1
  • Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8
    • C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices\Unit ID folder\History1
  • Mac
    • ~User/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/Unit ID folder/History1

To access this data:

Windows:

  1. Click the Windows Start menu / Windows Logo icon
  2. Click Run
    • On Windows Vista / 7, users can type run in the search box and press enter
  3. Type %appdata% into the Run box
  4. Click OK
    • Windows Vista / 7 will automatically go to the Roaming folder
  5. Open Garmin
  6. Open Devices
  7. Open the Unit ID folder
  8. Open History1

Mac:

  1. Open Finder
  2. Click Go from the Menu bar
  3. Press and hold the Option key on the keyboard
  4. Click Library
  5. Open Applications Support
  6. Open Garmin
  7. Open Devices
  8. Open the Unit ID folder
  9. Open History1

The files can now be seen and will be named based from the date of the activity.

1For most units, the data is stored in Garmin’s TCX format, which is an XML document. Garmin's newer units use the .FIT file instead. The .FIT files will be stored in the Activities folder instead of the History folder
