Why are there missing or corrupt voice files on my nuvi, dezl, RV, Camper, LIVE or zumo?

If any voice files are missing or corrupt on your nuvi, dezl, Camper/RV, LIVE or zumo, you can reload and update them using Garmin Express.

To load or update voices:

  1. Download and Install the Garmin Express application1: www.garmin.com/express
  2. Connect the device
  3. Click on Tools
  4. Click on Optional Updates
  5. Click on Language Files under Optional Updates and select the desired language(s)
  6. Scroll down and click Install Now


To change the voice on the dezl 560, LIVE 1695, LIVE 2300, nuvi 30, 40, 50, 52, 54, 200, 205, 465, 500, 700, 705, 800, 805, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1690, 2200, 2300, 2400, 5000, and 3700 series devices, zumo 220 and 600 series devices:

  1. Touch Tools
    • Skip this step on some devices
  2. Touch Settings
  3. Touch Language
  4. Touch the box for Voice
  5. Select the correct voice from the Voice list
  6. Touch OK or Save

nuvi 300, 600 and zumo 400, 500 series devices:

  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Local
  3. Select the correct voice from the list
  4. Touch OK

Camper/RV 760, dezl 570, 760, and 770, nuvi 55, 56, 57, 58, 65, 66, 67, 68, 2405, 2407, 2408, 2505, 2507, 2508, 2509, 2609, 2707, 2708, 2709, 3400, 3500, 3507, 3508 series devices, zumo 350, and zumo 390:

  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Language & Keyboard
  3. Touch Voice Language
  4. Select the correct voice from the list
  5. Touch Save

The device will now speak in the voice you have selected.
