When HomePort (PC version 2.1.0) is installed from a SD card and opened, a prompt will appear in HomePort stating a new version is available. If an error occurs when attempting the update, removing the failed download and updating to an intermediate version will allow HomePort to update properly.

To resolve the issue:

  1. Close HomePort
  2. Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard
  3. Type %temp% into the text box
  4. Click OK
  5. Open the Garmin Software Updates folder
  6. Delete all files from this folder
  7. Update to version 2.1.1 of HomePort:
  8. Open Homeport
  9. Follow the on-screen prompts to update HomePort to the latest version

After removing the failed download and upgrading to 2.1.1 of HomePort, the latest HomePort will update correctly.
