*Note: Before recalibrating the touchscreen on a nuvi 200 or 205 series device, please update the system software on your device. Please use Webupdater to do this. To download and install the free Webupdater program, go to: http://www.garmin.com/webupdater

If your touchscreen is still not responsive after updating your device software, follow the instructions below to recalibrate the touchscreen.

  1. Start with the device turned off and disconnected from power
  2. Slide and hold the power switch in the on position until the Press Dot screen appears
  3. Accurately touch the dots as they appear
    • The dots will change location
    • A stylus or pencil eraser may be used to accurately touch the dots
  4. Touch OK when "Calibration Complete" appears

The touchscreen is now calibrated. Repeat the above steps as needed. Some nuvi 200 series devices will recalibrate using the same steps as the nuvi 205 series devices.

    • The dots will change location
    • A stylus or pencil eraser may be used to accurately touch the dots
