What kind of USB cable do I need to connect my Garmin GPS to a computer?

Garmin recommends using a Garmin-branded USB cable to connect an automotive device to the computer. There are two types of USB cables that are used by Garmin devices. The following devices use a micro-USB cable to connect to the computer:

  • fleet series
  • nüLink! series
  • nüvi 2300 series
  • nüvi 2400 series
  • nüvi 2707/2709 series
  • nüvi 2798
  • nüvi 3400
  • nüvi 3500 series1
  • nüvi 3700 series
  • dēzl 560
  • dēzl/RV/Camper 760
  • dēzl 770
  • zūmo 590 

Devices not included in this list use a mini-USB cable to connect to the computer.

1 This does not include the 3507 and 3508 series.
