Pairing a Garmin Speak Device with the Garmin Drive App

To use the Garmin Speak it must be paired with a smartphone using the Garmin Drive app.

To Pair the Garmin Speak to the Garmin Drive App, Select your Phone's Operating System Below:

Android

1. Connect the device to power. See Powering the Garmin Speak and Garmin Speak Plus

The first time the device powers on, it enters a pairing mode automatically.

While the device is in pairing mode, the LED ring shows a spinning orange light. If the device does not enter pairing mode automatically, you can hold  for about 5 seconds until the LED shows a spinning orange ring.

2. From the app store on your smartphone, install and open the Garmin Drive app. See Installing the Garmin Drive App

3. Touch Garmin Speak Series in the Garmin Drive app

4. Touch Next

5. The Garmin Drive App will search for the device

6. Touch Allow or Deny

7. Touch Continue

8. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the device audio

9. Touch Sign in with Amazon

10. Enter your Amazon login info and touch Sign in

11. Touch Next

12. The app will activate the device

13. Touch Next

14. The device will now be connected with the Drive app.

iPhone

1. Connect the device to power. See  Powering the Garmin Speak and Garmin Speak Plus

The first time the device powers on, it enters a pairing mode automatically.

3. Touch Garmin Speak in the Garmin Drive App

4. Touch Next

5. Touch Find Speak

6. The Garmin Drive App will search for the device

7. Touch the name of the Garmin Speak device from the list of compatible Bluetooth devices in the area

8. Touch Continue

9. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the device audio

10. Touch Sign in with Amazon

11. Enter your Amazon login info and touch Sign in

12. Touch Next

13. The app will activate the device

14. Touch Next

15. The device will now be connected with the Garmin Drive app
