Select models are compatible with the Garmin Hydration Tracking widget glance which can be downloaded through the Connect IQ™ app, if not already installed. There are two different hydration tracking widgets offered by Garmin, so be certain to download the widget glance that is compatible with your watch.
NOTE: If you are using the Connect IQ app and your watch is paired to the app, it will automatically provide you with the correct compatible widget or app when you search for hydration tracking.
Swipe through the touchscreen or press the DOWN key to navigate to the Hydration widget or glance on your watch. Select + or - to increase or decrease your fluid tally, or use the custom container sizes to add that preset amount to your total.
It may be necessary after opening the widget or glance, to press the top right button to access the screen for adding fluid intake. The amounts for preset containers can be adjusted in the settings for the widget or glance, see the instructions below.
The Hydration Tracking widget or glance downloaded from the Connect IQ Store allows for setting the units of measure for fluids, automatic hydration goals, hydration alerts, and custom container sizes. To view instructions for accessing these settings, select your device below:
Swipe up to navigate to the Hydration widget glance.

If you notice an inconsistency in your fluid intake data between your watch's hydration widget and Garmin Connect, please follow these steps to get the values to sync up:
Navigate to the hydration widget or glance on your watch.
Open the Garmin Connect app ensuring your watch is connected to it.
Access the menu by selecting More (bottom right).
Select Health Stats.
Select Hydration.
Swipe down on the screen to refresh and see the updated data from the watch.
Open the Connect IQ app.
Select My Device.
Select My Widgets or My Device Apps.
Select the Garmin Hydration Widget.
Scroll down to view Version.
Select a platform below to reveal steps:
Open the Connect IQ app.
Select My Device in the bottom right corner.
Select your Device.
Select Updates.
Select Garmin Hydration Tracking.
Select Update / Install.
Once complete Sync your Garmin Device.
Launch Garmin Express.
Plug your Garmin Device into the USB port using the Garmin charging cable.
Select your Garmin Device.
If you see a message 'You Have Items Ready to Install' select Install Now.
Sync your Garmin Device.
Unplug the device from your computer.
