Can I Use Primary and Secondary Targets?
Garmin Connect features the ability to use primary and secondary targets, however not for indoor cycling workouts will only use the primary target. It is suggested to use only Custom Power for indoor cycling workouts, since the app will use your primary target to control the resistance on the smart trainer.
Garmin Connect Offers Many More Training Options. Which Is Recommended for Use in the Tacx Training App?
When creating a workout in Garmin Connect to be used in the Tacx Training app, it is recommended to create it using a primary target of Custom Power. You can choose the custom power based on watts or percent of FTP.
In the Tacx App I Receive a Message That Resistance Must Be Manually Adjusted. How Do I Enable Automatic Adjustments for My ERG Training?
You may see a message like the one below. This means your workout contains sections that do not have an ERG controllable primary target. Ensure that each section has a Custom Power primary target. You will still receive this message if your warmup or cool down does not contain Custom Power as the primary target. The app will control the resistance for any sections that do have a Custom Power primary target. Thus, you can ignore the message or change the warm up or cool down.
Why Do I Have Two Warm Ups and Cool Downs?
The Tacx app will always offer you a warmup before you start any workout and cool down when you've finished a workout. An alternative would be not to include a warm up or cool down when creating a custom workout.
Will I Have the Option to Skip Sections of the Workout?
Yes, you can skip any section of the workout. Simply select Skip.
Why Do I See Continue Instead of Skip?
If you see Continue in place of skip, this means the step duration is set for a lap button press. You can only leave this section if you press Continue.
