How to Share a Course From Garmin Connect

The following FAQ will provide you with instructions on sharing a public course that you have saved/created to your Garmin Connect account.  Sharing will generate a link that can be provided to other users where they can click on and either duplicate the course for their account or they will have an option to download the course to their compatible Garmin device. Or you can export the course from Connect and send the file to your friends.

Garmin Connect app
  1. Tap three horizontal bars in a black box (Android, top left corner), or More (Apple, lower right corner).
  2. Tap Training.
  3. Tap Courses.
  4. Tap the course you want to share.
  5. Tap Three dots in a vertical line in a black box
  6. Tap Share.
    • If you do not see Share, tap Edit and change the privacy setting of the course.
Garmin Connect web
  1. Log in to your Connect account at https://connect.garmin.com/.
  2. Select Training.
  3. Select Courses.
  4. Select the course you want to share.
  5. If the course shows "Private", select Make Public.

  6. Select Share.
Exporting a course from Connect
  1. Log in to your Connect account at https://connect.garmin.com/.
  2. Select Training.
  3. Select Courses.
  4. Select the course you want to share.
  5. Select the three horizontal dots to the right of "Send to Device".
  6. Select Download.
    • the file format (GPX or FIT) will be dictated by where you intend to send the file
