How Do I Start a Training Plan Workout on My Edge 530?

To start a training plan workout on your Edge 530, you will first need to make sure the training plan is set up on your Garmin Connect account. For steps on how to set up a training plan, see:  Using Garmin Connect Training Plans

Once you have set up the training plan and synced to your Edge 530 you will need to make sure that your Edge 530 is on the correct profile.

  1. Press the top right button
  2. Use the arrow keys (middle and bottom left buttons) to highlight the profile you wish to use.
    • The default profiles are Road, Mountain, and Indoor
  3. Press the top right button to select the highlighted profile
  4. Press the bottom right button to back out to the main screen of the Edge 530

Once the proper profile is selected on the Edge 530, you will then need to select the training plan workout that you wish to use. 

  1. Press the bottom left button
  2. Select Training
  3. Select Training Plan
  4. Use the arrow keys (middle and bottom left buttons) to highlight the workout you wish to follow
  5. Press the top right button to select the workout
  6. Press the Start/Stop button (front right button) to start the timer
