"No Matches found" or "Cannot Find Search Results" When Searching for an Address or Point of Interest

If the error message “No matches found” or "Cannot find search results" is displayed when searching for an address or location it may be due to:

• The maps on the device are not enabled
• The device is not set to search near the specified location
• The maps on the device do not contain the region being searched
• The device is not understanding an address abbreviation or there was a typo

To verify the maps on the device are enabled:

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch Map
4. Touch Info
5. On the Info page, make sure there is a check mark in the box to the left of the mapping version. If there is not a check mark, touch the empty box to place a check mark and enable the map.
6. Verify the region ¹ listed includes the area needed

Ensure the maps on the device contain the area being searched:

If the issue was first noticed after completing a map update, it may indicate that a smaller map region was installed during the last map update. To change the installed region, or install the full map to an SD card (recommended) see: Reinstall or change map coverage using Garmin Express

Ensure that the data being entered is correctly formatted and there are no typo's:

The device may have trouble finding an address if there is a typo. It is recommended to double check spelling if the address can't be found. Searching for a street using abbreviations is generally fine (e.g. 123 Main St NE). However, since addresses are sometimes abbreviated different ways, it is often easier to leave the abbreviation out (e.g. 123 Main). This will generally yield a list of results where the correct address can be selected from the list. The device will be searching for the address as it is typed and may provide suggestions.
