If you receive a server error or network connection error in the Garmin Golf app, check the following.


Check the Status of Garmin Connect

Garmin Connect has a dedicated page that provides the status of current services. Any service that may be down or currently unavailable will be reflected on this page, including the status for the Garmin Golf app. You can access this page at any time by going to connect.garmin.com/status/.



Check for Data Connection Issues on Your Phone

Server errors in the Garmin Golf app may be caused by a bad data connection on the phone due to app permissions, Wi-Fi, mobile network issues, or simply needing to restart the phone. Make sure the phone has a working data connection and all app permissions are granted then try again.



Confirm the Garmin Golf App Is Up to Date

Ensure All App Permissions Are Enabled on Your Phone

For full functionality of the app, we recommend having all permissions turned on.

  1. Open the Garmin Golf app
  2. Select Three Horizontal Lines Icon (upper left corner corner of app)
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Phone Permissions
  5. Select Manage Permissions. This will take you out of the Garmin Golf app and into the phone's app management settings.
  6. Select Permissions, then ensure that all permissions are enabled

  1. From the iPhone, select Settings
  2. Select Golf
  3. Ensure that all permissions are enabled
