Starting and Stopping Tracking With the Alpha 200 or Alpha 200i

The Alpha® 200 and Alpha® 200i dog tracking handhelds have an Auto Tracking feature. This feature enables the Alpha 200 to start recording a track once it is powered on and has received GPS satellite connection. The Auto Track feature can be disabled. With Auto Tracking disabled, you will need to start and stop the track recording of the handheld manually. 

Start Handheld Tracking Manually

1. From the Main Menu touch Track Manager
2. Touch My Track
3. Touch Start

Once you Touch Start the Alpha 200 handheld will begin tracking its location.

Stop Handheld Tracking Manually

1. From the Main Menu, touch Track Manager
2. Touch My Track
3. Touch Stop
4. Once you touch Stop you can either save the track by touching Save, or clear the track by touching Discard

Once you touch Stop, the Alpha 200 series handheld will quit tracking its location.
