How to Box Up the NEO Bike Series Frame for a Return or Exchange

IMPORTANT: A Return Material Authorization (RMA) created by Garmin Product Support is required before sending a Tacx® Trainer to the Garmin warehouse for exchange.

Two people are recommended for the disassembly of your Tacx® NEO Bike Smart Trainer or Tacx® NEO Bike Plus Smart Trainer. Refer to the following parts list diagram to assist with the disassembly.

Step 1: Disconnect Trainer From Main Power

  1. Refer to: Assembly Instructions for the Tacx NEO Bike

Step 2: Remove Control Panel, Handlebars, Fan and Tablet Assembly

  1. Loosen and remove Handlebar distance bolt (C3).

  2. Unplug the control panel cable.

  3. Slide and remove the control panel, handlebar, fan and tablet assembly from the handlebar rail.

  4. Remove and keep silver cap (Part# T8010.05) from the handlebar rail (C2). 


Step 3: Remove Saddle

  1. Loosen and remove the adjustment bolt / knob (D6).

  2. Slide the seatpost (D5) saddle rail (D3) and saddle (D1) assembly out of the frame.


Step 4: Remove Bottle Cage

  1. Remove the cage (A1) with a 4mm allen key.


Step 5: Remove Pedals

  1. Remove your pedals.


Step 6: Remove Front and Rear Legs From Body of the Trainer

  1. Place the trainer on a firm, level surface.

  2. Have a friend assist you with tilting the trainer to remove the legs one pair at a time.

  3. Remove the rear leg (A7) with an 8 mm allen key.

  4. Remove the front legs (A4) with an 8 mm allen key.

  5. Place the frame (A) into the provided shipping frame box used for the replacement frame.

  6. Keep all other parts for assembly onto the replacement frame.


Frame is Ready to Be Shipped:

After completing steps 1-6, your NEO Bike Series frame should look like the following:
