Loading Custom Points of Interest to a PACCAR Device

In order to install custom Points of Interest (POIs) to your device you will need a USB Flash Drive and Garmin's POI Loader program. 

To load custom POIs:

1. Connect a blank USB Flash Drive to your computer¹
   
2. Locate and open the USB Flash Drive on your computer
• It will appear in This PC, Computer or My Computer on Windows
• It will appear on the Desktop or in Finder on MAC
3. Create a folder and name it Garmin on the USB Flash Drive²
4. Double-click the Garmin folder to open it
5. Create a second folder within the Garmin folder and name it POI²

After the above steps, you'll begin using the POI Loader program. If you do not have it yet, you may download and install it from here.

1. Open the POI Loader program
   
2. Select Computer as your Save Option and click Next
   
3. Click Browse and select the location of your newly created Garmin/POI folder from the above steps
   
4. Name the newly created custom POI  file "POI"
   
5. Click Next
   
6. Click browse to locate and select the directory or folder that contains your Custom POI file
   
7. Leave the other two options at their default settings
   
8. Click Next
   
9. Click Finish when notified that the custom POIs have been transferred
   
10. Safely eject the USB Flash Drive from your computer before disconnecting it
    

From there, use the following steps to add the custom POIs to the device:

1. Ensure that the PACCAR device is on the Where To? View Map screen
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch System
4. Touch About
5. Touch Upgrade Map
6. Insert the USB flash drive the custom POIs were loaded to
7. After a few moments, a message will display indicating the custom POIs are upgraded successfully

To view the custom POI list:

1. Touch Where To?
2. Touch Extras
3. Touch Custom POIs

The loaded custom POIs will be displayed.

²If you do not know how to create a folder, steps for this are outlined here:

1. Right-Click inside the blank window
2. Click on New Folder (Mac) or New > Folder (Windows)
3. Rename the Folder

The new folder will now appear and you may proceed with the instructions above.
