Importing Flight Plans Into a G1000

Flight plans can be imported into a G1000® flight deck through an SD card. It is recommended to use FltPlan® flight planning services to build the flight plan and then load it onto an SD card. Once signed in to your account on FltPlan.com: 

1. Click on Settings on the left side of the page.

2. Select the checkbox under the word "Garmin" next to the aircraft.

3. Then, click on Edit Aircraft List.

4. Once a flight plan / navigation log (NavLog) is generated, there will be a button on the bottom right of the NavLog named Garmin Flight Plan.

5. Save the flight plan to your SD card as a ".fpl" file name.  Place that SD card in the top MFD slot and navigate to the "Flight Plan Catalog" page. Highlight an empty slot on the flight plan list. Press the Menu key and select Import.
