Navigating to a Waypoint on the eTrex Vista Cx

Starting Navigation

1. Press and hold Menu/Find to display the Find menu.

2. Use the Thumb Stick to highlight 'Waypoints' and then press it in. By default, the list shows only those nearest to your current location. Press Menu/Find to view the options list.

3. Use the Thumb Stick to highlight the desired waypoint and then press it in to display the information page.

4. With the on-screen 'Go To' button highlighted, press the Thumb Stick in to begin navigation to the waypoint.

   

Navigation Basics

Compass Page

Press Quit repeatedly until the Compass page is displayed. This page contains a “Bearing Pointer” and a “Compass Ring.” The Bearing Pointer indicates the direction to go and the Compass Ring rotates to indicate North orientation when you begin to move. Digital data fields at the top of the page display selectable navigation information such as speed, distance to go, elapsed time, etc.

Map Page

Press Quit repeatedly until the Map is displayed. This page shows your progress toward the waypoint. A Bearing line displays on the map and the Position Arrow moves as you move.

Stopping Navigation

1. While viewing Map page or Compass page, press Menu/Find.

2. Use the Thumb Stick to highlight 'Stop Navigation' and then press it in.
