Playing TV Audio on a Fusion® Stereo
Fusion® stereos are able to receive audio from TVs, DVD / Blu-ray players, and other media devices via the DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) or the AUX IN inputs. When connecting an optical cable from the TV / media player to the stereo, the device being used must support PCM audio and have its audio settings changed to PCM. If audio is distorted or not playing at all, it is likely that PCM is not enabled.
The stereo source the device is connected to can be renamed from the Fusion stereo by selecting Settings > Source > AUX1 / AUX2 / OPTICAL > Source Name to more easily identify which source plays audio from the TV / media player.
When a TV / media player is playing audio via the stereo, a delay between the TV picture and the audio may occur. To mitigate this, on the stereo select Menu > Settings > Source > AUX1 / AUX2 / OPTICAL > Group Enabled to uncheck the box. This will usually remove the delay entirely. If it does not, the device may have a setting to help further but in some cases a third-party device may be necessary to delay the picture on the TV to match the audio delay.
Note: Receiving Bluetooth audio from a connected TV is not a supported function and is unlikely to work correctly.
