Strava Live Segment Screen Glossary

Below is a breakdown of what the different sections of the Strava Live Segment may look like on an Edge® cycling computer. The below example came from an Edge® 1050 cycling computer. For specific information about your device refer to your owner's manual and search for "Strava".

NOTE: Strava segments that feature a downhill loss in grade of .25% or more are not eligible for segment goals and Strava will not send these segments for live viewing on Garmin devices. For help with creating a Strava segment see: Strava Support - Create a Segment

Screen Legend

map and tray fields for segments 

 The map will display in the background. Use the tray icon to expand or collapse the fields below. 

KOM PR fields 

This configurable field at the top of the screen can display a King or Queen of the Mountain, your personal best, time goal, or the time of a fellow Strava friend. Select the arrows to choose which field to display.

Here you will see the elevation plot of the segment. The grade icon is your current location on the segment with the colors representing the upcoming grades.

configurable fields for strava segment screen  The data fields can be customized to any data fields. The number of fields may impact the size of other fields. refer to your owner's manual and search for "Data Screens".
