What Is the Activity Class Measurement in Garmin Connect?

NOTICE: The activity class setting applies to older Garmin devices and does not affect the measurement readings on newer devices. Improved algorithms have negated this setting from being used on newer products despite the it still being visible in Garmin Connect. For more details on devices that use this feature see the section "Which Garmin Devices Use Activity Class?" in this FAQ.

Activity Class is a setting in the Garmin Connect™ application that allows you to adjust the frequency and how long you train in a given week. This measurement falls on a scale from zero to 10 as shown in the image below.

Adjusting this setting to the appropriate level along with accurate user profile information will help improve the accuracy of calories burned during a given activity for these models.
