GPSMAP 6x0 locks up when navigating a route for more than 20 minutes while in Automotive mode
Garmin has identified an issue that will cause the device to freeze while in the Automotive mode and navigating a route. During the route, usually between 20-30 minutes, the device will freeze and cannot be used unless the battery is removed and re-inserted into the device.
NOTE: This issue occurs in software version 3.60 of the GPSMAP 620 or 640.
A software update (v3.70) has been created that will correct this issue. The device will need to be connected to the computer and the operating system will need to be updated. To update the internal operating system of this device, please download and install WebUpdater.
Once the program is downloaded and installed on the computer, connect the device to the computer and run the WebUpdater program.
Follow the on-screen instructions and the WebUpdater will update the operating system of the device.
