Why is My Descent Not Getting a Safety Stop?

There are a few reasons you may not see a safety stop when performing a dive with your Descent™ watch or Descent™ dive computer.

Decompression Plan

When performing a dive that requires a decompression plan to ascend with a Descent watch or dive computer it will supersede the safety stop setting. This is by design as the device will present decompression stops instead of safety stops. 

Gauge Dive

When performing a Gauge dive on your Descent watch or dive computer it will not provide the safety stop. The safety stop feature is only found in the Single-Gas or Multi-Gas activities.

Setting Turned Off

The Safety stop setting can also be turned off. If you are not receiving the safety stop, we recommend checking your settings to ensure it is set properly. Search "Dive Setup" or "Dive Settings" and look for safety stop within your owner's manual for more information on how to make adjustments.
