“Releasing Transmitter” Error Message on the Cortex Hub

This error message results from a power related issue and will commonly occur when the Cortex™ hub transmits with the High Power setting (25W).  This can be accompanied by an unexpected power cycling of the Cortex Hub and connected handset. 

This error is commonly related to battery or cabling issues (e.g. wrong wire gauge) which results in low current while transmitting.  At 12V, the Cortex Hub requires 6A of current when transmitting at 25W.
