Mercedes-Benz® Metris/Vito - Smartphone Features

Mercedes-Benz® Metris/Vito vehicles have various smartphone features. Select a category below for more information:

Pairing a Phone
  1. Press TEL
  2. Select Connect Phone
  3. Select Add a device
  4. On your phone, enable Bluetooth wireless technology, and make your phone visible to other devices.
    • TIP: See your phone's manual for more information
  5. On the infotainment system, select the name of your smartphone.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
Removing a Paired Phone
  1. Press TEL
  2. Select next to your paired phone
  3. Select Forget Device
Hands-Free Calling
Using Bluetooth wireless technology, the system can connect to your mobile phone to become a hands-free device.

Placing a call:

  1. Press TEL
  2. Select an option:
    • To dial a number, select , enter the phone number, and select 
    • To call a contact from your phone book, select , and select a contact

Receiving a Call:

When you receive a call, select Answer or Dismiss.

Using In-Call Options:

In-call options appear when you answer a call. Some options may not be compatible with your phone. 

    • To transfer audio to your phone, select 

TIP: You can use this feature if you want to disconnect the Bluetooth connection and remain on the call, or if you need privacy.

    • To use the dial pad, select 
      • TIP: You can use this feature to use automated systems, such as voice mail.

Saving a Phone Number as a Preset:

You can save up to four contacts as presets on the dial pad. This allows you to quickly call your home phone number, family members, or frequently called contacts.

    1. From the phone screen, select Add Preset Contact
    2. Select a contact
Viewing Notifications

WARNING: Do not read or reply to notifications while driving.

Connection Android AutoTM
    1. Verify the software on your Android smartphone is up to date
    2. Download and install the Android Auto app on your smartphone
    3. Using a compatible cable, connect your Android smartphone to USB 1 port in your vehicles
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process
Connecting Apple CarPlayTM
    1. Verify the software on your Apple iPhone is up to date
    2. Using a genuine Apple cable, connect your Apple iPhone to the USB 1 port in your vehicle
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process
