Unable to Add Some Golf Clubs to My Golf Capable Garmin Device

Several new club types were added recently such as 7 Wood and 9 Wood. Software updates have been made for several devices to be able to add the new club types. If the software is not current on a compatible device or the device has not been made compatible with an update, the new club types sent to the device can cause some symptoms.

Symptoms With Newer Club Types

  • Clubs may not appear on the watch.

  • Clubs may not appear in correct order.

  • Approach® CT1 club tracking tag(s) may not pair.

  • Approach® CT10 club tracking sensor(s) may not pair.

Alternative Method to Using the Newer Club Types

If you experience any of the symptoms outlined above, you can add one of the original club types below and give it a nickname. The nickname will appear on the watch for club prompts and club connection alerts for the Approach CT10 sensors. For example, you can add a 5 Wood and nickname it 7 Wood. 7 Wood is how the club will appear on your device. For instructions on adding and editing clubs, see Add, Edit, or Remove Golf Clubs for Your Garmin Golf Product.
