Sending Xero Locations to a Compatible Garmin Watch

While you are hunting with your device, it creates a record of the heading and ranged distance each time you range a target. You can send this data to a compatible Garmin watch or handheld. This can help you create waypoints or track game. 


Sending and Receiving Xero® Locations

To send Xero® Locations (Laser Locate) from a Xero A1i bow sight or Xero X1i crossbow scope to a compatible Garmin watch, the latest software updates should be installed on both the Xero® sight and watch. For steps to update, see Related Content below.

Sending a Location from a Bow Sight

Xero A1i Bow Sight

  1. From ready to range press the OK button to open the menu.
  2. Select Xero Locations Gray Shot Icon.
  3. Select the Shot you want to send to the watch.
  4. Select Yes and wait for A1i to show the transfer is complete. 

Xero X1i Crossbow Scope

  1. From ready to range press the OK to open the menu.
  2. Select Xero Locations.
  3. Select the Shot you want to send to the watch.
  4. Select Yes and wait for the scope to show the transfer is complete.
NOTE: A second attempt may be needed if the location is not sent in the initial attempt, as the first attempt may be more about establishing the connecting watch to the the Xero device.



Receiving a Xero Location on Compatible Garmin Watch

Open the Xero widget.
  1. Wait for GPS on the widget.
  2. Once GPS is acquired the widget will be ready to receive a location.
  3. Once the location is received the watch will display "New XERO location. Navigate?" 
  4. To navigate select the Start/Stop or GPS button. 
  5. You can press the Back/Lap button to save the location for another time. 
The new location is now saved to the watch to be used at any time for navigation.
