Sharing Tracks, Routes and Markers From the Navionics Boating App
Sharing Saved Items
You can share tracks, routes and markers on iOS and Android devices as follows:
Tap Menu.
Select Tracks, Routes, or Markers to bring up the type of item you want to share.
Tap Select on (IOS) or 3 dots and then Select on (Android) in top right corner.
Select one or more items.
Tap the Share button.
Select Share with:
Specific Connections - Your item(s) will be shared with only the Connections you select.
All Connections - Your item(s) will be shared with all of your current Connections.
Select Share Option:
Link - A link containing your item(s) will be shared and open in the Navionics® Boating app.
Export GPX - A GPX file will be sent for download or import.
If you choose the link option you can share it via email, messages, or on social media. Links are accessible for up to 2 years. After the link expires, objects can be reshared by following the steps above.
If you choose to export a GPX file, you can share via email, message etc. or open it on apps supporting GPX files.
What do I do Once I Have Received Shared Items?
To import a GPX file:
Tap on the GPX file.
Then choose the Boating app to open it.
To download an item shared from one of your Connections:
Tap the download icon next to the item's name.
Downloaded items will represent with a check mark.
To open an item shared with a link:
Access the email directly from your phone or tablet.
Click on the link provided in the email.
With iOS, the link will automatically open the Navionics Boating app.
With Android, you will be given an option on what to open with, select Navionics Boating app icon.
