Check Tuner Message

Garmin GXM antennas (GDL 30a or GXM 51/52/53/54) are compatible with certain weather and audio subscriptions through SiriusXM. When setup with an audio subscription it is important to note that the audio output of the Garmin XM antenna will typically connect to the AUX input of a stereo/receiver. If the stereo/receiver source is set to SiriusXM instead of AUX, you will receive a message that states "Check XM Tuner" if there is not a dedicated XM antenna connected directly to the radio's XM antenna port.

This is by design, ensure that the stereo source is set to the particular AUX input in which the Garmin XM antenna audio out cable is connected to.
